I found an LED ticker screen at staples and i've built a few online applications that display a stock price from a live RSS feed so i thought that i could develop a quick application for lives scores since this screen does connect to the computer. But these screens seem to only take input from a file through their windows(ughh i'm on mac) program that is specified and then it definitely would not be live even if i were to write the file dynamically.

I've also looked into hacking some of these screens but most of the hacks are geared to home built LED screens.

I guess this is why they can charge so much for a yearly subscription for live scoring on these LED screens.

My friend's a huge NCAA basketball fan, he takes a whole week off of work for rounds 1-2 of march madness and does not move off his couch except for bathroom and food. His goal for his sports room is 3 - 32" flatscreens side by side so he can watch multiple games that are on at the same time. The ticker is to go above the tvs so that he knows all the scores cause during round one of march maddness there is too many games on at once to televise. He's not very computer savvy so he doesn't really use the computer much and prefers to squint down at the bottom ticker on the channels. He also loves the look of the LED ticker so it makes him feel as though he's in a sports pub.

Thanks everybody, if anybody does run into a solution that isn't $1000 dollars please let me know.
He knows that those scores are always listed right at the top of the screen right?
