Posting this on behalf of my bro:

I am purchasing a HD video recorder for the office and I want to edit the video and add simple transitions, music and blend two video’s together for a presentation…,.but I will also want to speed up a video from 2 hours to like 20 seconds for exhibit setup interest. We will be utilizing 3-D studio max for the rendering, HD video for the full video, and the music will be purchased for royalty useage. I was looking at Adobe Premiere Pro…but that’s about it so far.

So I guess what he is looking for is video editing software. This is for his company so spending upwards of 1K is fine.

Any suggestions?
