Good for the city. The city can build wherever it wants on its owned property and should do so.
As a Lakeview resident, it will already likely mean only one way out instead of two, as 37th should be an 80-90km expressway, with no turnoffs, or access in or out of Lakeview, to prevent people cutting through off Crowchild. Traffic is bad enough in Lakeview when E or W bound Glenmore has an issue.
Also, make sure there is zero pedestrian access anywhere near the interchange. Having hundreds of cars parking in Lakeview to be able to walk over to the casino would be the next issue, although some will try and run across 4 lanes to be able to smoke inside and pull some handles. I may start up a tow truck business and make a mint picking illegally parked cars off in Lakeview.
The Nation has their access off of 37th and Anderson. Build a casino access road through there...careful not to run the same route that the city proposed and got shot down with. Also, better hope that the "whitey" ambulance service is still in effect, and while constructing the 37th St expressway, there is no medical emergency at the casino...the Rockyview which can be seen from the casino is a nice 20min ride back out anderson and up 14st.
Big Plume is out of ideas. His rational thinking got shot down when the vote went the other and now his legacy has to be one of being militant rather then the one he planned of making the nation as individuals and as a whole, set for decades,so he has no choice if he wants to keep his job, but to spew idle threats at the city who could rightly so, really care what his opinion is.
