Do you really believe that? I would say that there are deep seeded issues with the reservation system that we have set up in Canada in which people don't learn how to properly integrate into modern society. You can't say that an entire race of people don't care about commercial enterprise because they are made up of unique personalities (obviously) and past that on an individual level everyone knows the story about the 18 year old native who gets a new truck with band money and goes out and buys a new truck with is promptly wrecked.... But you can't tell me that people live in Hobema out of some crusade against materialism.
