I used to hate country. It's all about exposure. In high school, you kind of end up with friends that like the same music, so I never was exposed to any country music. But through my 20s, I met new people, and was slowly introduced to bits and pieces of country music. I started to be ok with it, and now, I'm a full blown country music lover. A couple of local country stations are programmed into my truck radio. There's good tunes on there. I can listen to 1060 or 105 before I can listen to CJAY to hear Ocean f'ing Pearl again.
edit, sorry, I know you're not from Calgary. 1060 and 105 are country stations, and CJAY is the local "play the same old recycled rock, over, and over, and over, and over" station. When 90.3 and 92.9 were born, I knew there was a God.
