Really though, if the cross road has a gap in traffic, one guy goes straight through, the next guy has to stop before he can go straight through, so you should have time to feed that gap.

in that manual it only shows that thats the way it is for uncontrolled intersections. Flow of traffic would suggest to me that it would go by who gets there first. thats how I drive and that how I will continue to drive until someone shows me differently in legal terms not just what your aunts friends sisters husbands brothers friend told you
