It's actually feasible to ride the bike, walk, or take public transit in dense European and Asian cities. North American metros on the other hand suffers from major urbal sprawl and as such we use our cars a lot more than Euros and Asians, only a minority of them even own cars whereas everyone in this town likely has a car, beater or Lexus.
