For a front end the virus/hack issue is a big one. Especially since there are at least a limited number of experienced Linux administers out there.

A lot of medical and research companies would use them too to run their specailized Unix apps over xgrid.
They look really nice in a rack though. Apple's booth at NAB a few years ago.
