None of those explain why a Casino would use it to run their cameras though it though. A university for research sure.

Also in a single cage you can get get over 50 blade servers with more power then the minis and a couple of external rack arrays with more storage. The only reason I can see for that is that they want each camera on a separate server for legal reasons. The management, space, extra switches wouldnt seem to justify it IMO. Another legit reason might be hack/virus protection. Because Mac Servers are so scarce they arent many tools out there to hack them - likely reduces the amount of amateur hacks they have to deal with compared to a Windows/Linux system.

I am not saying its not cool looking, it is. But even in that pic they arent compacting the minis so much that they save any space (probably heat reasons).

What are slot islands? Does that mean the video camera, or the wining % for those machines, if its controlling the win % then I can see why they use that setup.
