I think it was someone's dad that played for the Islanders. I can't think of the player or even if that is the right team but I'm 99% sure we have at least one ex-NHLer kids here.
I just couldn't imagine why or what good would come out of being an active player joining up on this board. You would see your name pop up one week with a thread "I like
insert name" then two games later after a -3 game you would see "Trade
insert name!!!"
