I just recently spent 5 weeks in Croatia and Bosnia visiting family, and Bosnia was really great and impressed me more than I thought it would. The people are very nice, although there is still a sadness that hangs over the country. I didn't feel the hatred or anger that I was expecting, but just sadness. I spent most of my time there in either Muslim or Croat areas and found both to be the most generous and hospitable people I ever met. Besides Mostar and Medugorje though, I was in some pretty remote areas.... areas that even some people living only a few kilometers away didn't even know how to get to.
Eh, sorry. I don't want to steal your thunder.

I really enjoyed Bosnia. I can echo the same thing you said. People were really nice and I could not see any hatred directed toward anyone. Maybe it was because I was in Sarajevo and when the war happend all of the religous groups were besieged and the Yugoslav forces didn't care who they killed even if it was there own people. They were kind of in it together.
I would go back again for a longer time if I could.
