Actually since that batch of arguments I had about a month or two ago it has been a relatively peaceful last little while. I think people get a little on edge during the offseason, like they're going thru withdrawal or something.
Although now that the Flames are slumping I'm worried tensions will rise again.
Then I was in my Phil class at Uni the other day and my prof used the word ######. I really wanted to call him on it and bitch him out just so I'd know what it felt like to be on the other side of that beat down.

I dunno if this makes any sense, but a lot of times I use those little back-and-forths I have with people to figure out what my actual opinion is on something. Like I'll go in thinking one thing, hammer it out with one or two or 400 other people, and then walk away knowing exactly where I stand on something I probably never even thought too much about before.
Weird, I guess, but I've always been the type of guy who just has to jump into something in order to figure it out. Some people can form sound opinions by just quietly informing themselves and filtering however they need to... others need to just jump in with both feet and see where we land when it's all over.
The really cool thing, though, is I have a pretty short memory when it comes to people that I've had "discussions" with.
