An ex-coworker of mine about 5 years ago was really into the wingsuits just when they were starting to be made commercially available. He jumped out of planes, though. Mostly because base jumping is illegal around here, and there aren't a lot of tall things to jump off of illegally. I ran into him a few months ago and he's still alive, and still doing it.
