Really? I mean I feel uncomfortable with this idea, I don't think anyone should be forced to believe, forced to not show their faith, be it turban, burka, or whatever someone's religious toy's they feel is sacred.
I'm in the camp of I'd prefer them to discover these are silly things based on ancient beliefs and its high time they modernized and grew up to the rest of this world.
I can see why you think its 'anti' muslim, but honestly its about the subjication of women and the fact that in much of the muslim world women are treated as half of a man and the reason women are forced to cover up is to stop men from having impure thoughts. So basically, men are too weak to see a woman wearing non-burkas, so its not their fault for their sexual thoughts, its the women for not covering up.
Sounds like the western equivalent of "you were raped, but you were wearing a sexy mini skirt."
I'm curious why you think the debate for women's rights in the muslim world is anti-muslim?
