Now that you've made a useful argument... though this response belongs in the other thread.
For the WAP, both candidates find the carbon capture aspects of Stelmach's environmental plan to be a $2 billion waste. Both find that the province is spending far too much to sustain the bureaucracy (especially in health care). and they want to set the royalty scheme back to what it was so as to help encourage the O&G industry to return to investing in Alberta. Will it solve every problem? Doubt it. And doubt they expect it will right away either. But at least they've proposed areas where cuts can be made.
What the federal Liberals expect to do, I do not know.
