It really acknowledges the fact that each forward and defender need to be able to make things happen and be a factor on the offensive side of the puck and be able to create plays by puck handling ourselves. Relying on Chuckie mostly to score for us and do all the puck handling work is flat out not going to work against top teams where 3 to all of their players can create good offensive production by smart puck movement and flow in the zone.

i agree, though all 6 of their goals flowed through that 1 dude. so its now as if they were able to randomly generate offense. i think they still very much use that guy as much as we use chuckie. however, in general, they are all so good they would still be pretty darn good without him.
also, we were only down 2-1 going into the 3rd. it was just some cruddy defense that really hurt us. i very much think with some bounces it would have been a closer final score.
as we noticed in the game, they had some great tic-tac-toe plays. and while passing like that is a huge asset, i still contend it was their great puckhandling and playmaking skills that were the most important. they were able to open up lanes because we would overpursue or miss hits. for them, i think its a matter of taking what is given. they were patient with their plays.
