I just got my cellphone with telus- my parents had been with them for 4 years already (contracts expired for a year, on month to month basis for last year).

I got an LG Keybo II (stylish phone, great qwerty keyboard).

I'm on the 25$ student share plan, my parents are on the $15 share plans and we all have caller ID and voicemail. The total bill each month is $86 for all three phones! If you are with a provider currently and your contract runs out, it can be very beneficial to call them and see if you can get a deal. Even if you don't have a smartphone/data package/unlimited calling to Timbuktu!
