I was trying to burn some DVD's on Windows DVD Maker (mostly of .avi files), and it's been taking almost 24 hours in a row to encode two hours worth of video clips, so I just decided to stop using it and get some other software.

So, my question is, what is the best (downloadable) DVD authoring software that I can get for under $50? I don't need anything really fancy, just something that can create a high quality DVD with a nice menu and in a reasonable amount of time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
