So when I re-do the calculations using an un-cut board width of 9.25 inches.
I calculate your missing length to be 27.29 inches.

The confusion is in the width. If the width at an angle of 90 measures 9.25 inches then the length should be 27.29 inches. From your drawing I thought the 9.25 inches was measured at the diagonal.

I guess I will be over with the Beer
