The problem with the Brown Recluse bite in the grand scheme of things is no one really knows what percentage of bites get nasty or even many of the times why they get so bad (is it the bite alone or bite + infection etc).

For the most part though for them to bite you pretty much have to be actively killing them by squishing them as they aren't at all aggressive. But thanks to your story in that other thread I told my wife before we moved down here that I was never EVER crawling around under the house or deck. Someone else can do that for me. And we keep traps along the walls where to bed legs are etc.

I hate spiders.
