I was the recipient of a 9 year old Eddie Bauer car seat as a hand-me-down. But yeah... it was expired. So we just had to junk it.
Seems like a bit of a waste/scam by the carseat manufacturers, but I'm not really going to be the one to take a chance and use an expired one, just in case.
