Hmmm... I have an overhead stove style microwave. Seems to have broken, it turns on, clock works, you can program in anything, the timer winds down, but at the end the food is still cold. The fan is also pretty loud.
Now I'm not sure whether it's worth it to call someone to look at it. I'd anticipate the microwave is 10 - 20 years old. I'd guess 10, but it could be older. It's a Frigidaire. These stove-top ones seem to be quite a bit more expensive than the standard countertop ones

Any suggestions? I don't want a new stove-top ones since in the next 2 - 4 years the kitchen will get re-done and who knows what will happen with the cabinet and stove areas.
Just buy a cheap counter top?
Are the stove-top ones difficult to install?
