It is in the Big 11, but when you play good defense and run the ball at 1/2 the speed of other conferences, things become problematic.

I look at how Tressel has handled Pryor. Maybe the kid is too stupid to play in a traditional offensive, but when you have that type of talent, you should be able to design a few plays that allow him to run the ball - draws, options, etc... Look what Texas did to USC in 2004 (IIRC) with Vince Young (and Vince Young is a moron). Look what Oregon did with Dixon a couple years ago. Oregon State. Arizona even gave them troubles with Tuitama (who is fairly mobile).

I think Tressel has done a fantastic job of doing enough to keep his job. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate to anything outside of the Big 11. Sure he's kept it close with a few teams because his teams do have talent, but they aren't coached well and therefore, don't win big games.

I loathe OSU and the entire Big 11, so I'll be thrilled if Tressel stays another 10-15 years, winning another 10-15 Big 11 Championships and going 20-1 against Michigan. In the small world that is the Big 11 conference and mid-west football, that's great, but I prefer my NC games not to be poisoned by the choke artists from the Buckeye state.
And that right there sums it up.

2 losses to top teams in the dying minutes and it's still being "run out of the stadium", think that has much to do with your admitted hatred?
