I just can't understand why they haven't figured out a way to eliminate that long pause in telemarketing before the fog horn sounds or the robot starts talking. The telemarketing I can deal with, it's my having to say "hello, hello, heelllloooo" 10x before I hear anything on the other end that pisses me off.
