I struggle with things like these.
It makes me wonder a players devotion to the game.
I look at the amount 20 mil per year and say holy shinguard, he's just in it for the money, why not just sign for 5 million and help your team out your already loaded up the ass anyways.
But than I look at the length and how long Shaq is. Come on it would be pretty tempting if you were in his situation and had signed a 1 year deal for 20 million hell even 4 million and than called it quits and lived off of that.
My main point is, is that with most players you can tell if they are playing for the money or because they love the game. Shaq is a toss up, or maybe he does it for both?

I think Shaq truly loves the game but I also don't think he will embarrass himself. Even if he's in the middle of a contract I think he will walk away from the game if he gets to the point where he can't play at a very high level.
In other news - what I don't understand about that 5 team deal is Utah getting Greg Ostertag. How does that happen? How in the middle of all that does the Jazz get involved and ask for Greg Ostertag of all things? I just don't understand how that goes down.
