I have never perceived him to be the stupid idiot that so many think he is. I just think he had bad people in his administration that he allowed to control the direction the US was going.

A President that will always be remembered, that is for sure. Rightly or wrongly.
i don't see how history won't remember Bush as one of the worst presidents of our time. from preying on Americans fears to start a war in Iraq, to completely ignoring Bin Laden, to criminal negligence during the worst natural disaster in US history. then to top it all off he inherited the largest government surplus in US history from Clinton and managed to turn it into the largest deficit in history, and then having a massive recession to hit at the end of his reign as a cherry on top

i can't think of one positive thing that happened as a result of his presidency. from the Patriot Act to No Child Left Behind, everything he touched was a disaster
