Okay, I'll bite. Let's go back to 2004 and look at the #8 team, the Iowa Hawkeyes.

This is a team that you think could beat any team in the CFL:
One NFL calibre defensive tackle - Jonathan Banineaux
One NFL calibre safety - Sean Consadine
Two NFL calibre linebackers - Chad Greenway, Matt Roth
One NFL calibre special teams player - Charles Godfrey (Godfrey became an NFL safety, but in 2004 just did special teams duty for Iowa)
One NFL practice-roster calibre offensive lineman - Mike Elgin
One NFL practice calibre linebacker - Abdul Hodge
One NFL practice-roster calibre safety - Marcus Paschal
One CFL calibre defensive back - Jovon Johnson
The Calgary Stampeders' third-stringer QB
And the rest of the team made up of guys who were not good enough to continue playing football at any level. No pro-level running back, no pro-level receivers, no pro-level kicker... In 2004, maybe two, three of those guys would have had the talent to make CFL rosters, and none of them as starters. I'm not sure that this team even scores a touchdown against a CFL team.

Seriously, this is one of the stupidest statements I've heard made on this site.
