You're being a homer, plain and simple. The polls are always random and often baseless, geography has nothing to do with it. OU probably shouldn't have fallen as far as they did, but that team is packed full of question marks. Florida played poorly last year and lost a game they should have won, but they didn't come out of it losing their star player, and we both know that means a whole heck of a lot.

I am a homer tis true... But if you dont think Espn coverage can influence polls then your being naive. DO you really think the coaches who vote get to watch every game ? No , they see the highlights and hear what espn has to say about the game... The polls are not random , sadly every poll has its own agenda when it comes down to it . Geography also plays a part in it , Lets say Pete Carroll from Usc has a coaches poll vote. He is gonna rank the teams he plays higher in a coaches poll to make his wins look better.
The coaches poll has come under criticism for being inaccurate, with some of the charges being that coaches are biased towards their own teams and conferences, that coaches don't actually complete their own ballots, and that coaches are unfamiliar with even the basics on some teams.
SO Yes I will agree I am being bias but you need to realize your wrong in what your saying....I know you guys get TSN up there but do you get Espn ??? If you do .....watch ESPN, the teams they favor will get a lot more airplay and highlights shown....
