Your wife drives from store to store to comparison shop for groceries? Are the savings (not to mention the wasted time) even worth it once you factor in the added cost of gas and wear & tear on your vehicle?

When I worked at Safeway back in University, every weekend we would get an older German lady come in and argue to the penny about every second item she bought. She would also try to use invalid coupons on most items and would prey upon new cashiers hoping to get breaks in her favor. It would take her probably 2 hours to get into and out of the store every week. We knew she did this at other stores in the area because our clerks would see CO-OP, Superstore, and Sobey's bags in her trunk when they helped her out to her car. She earned the nick-name 'Coupon Nazi' among the staff. The nickname transcended our store as my friends at competitor stores called her by the same nick-name. Most likely it took her all weekend to prepare her coupons, check prices, and shop. What a life!
