Tim, I really dislike the way most new BMW's and MB's look these days (they've lost a lot of their simple refinement imo), and am considering buying an older used model....which of the previous generation german cars do you recommend to look at, and or stay away from?
Based purely on looks, my ideal car is an early 90s BMW e30 (3 series) or a MB 190e....I just love their simple clean lines....but not sure if by now they would result in a lot of mechanical issues. I'd like something sporty and refined, but reasonably reliable!
Under 10-15K, what model would you go after?
