I brought my friend to the game today and it was her first ever CFL game. Unfortunately I had built up the game and crowd because Labour Day in Calgary is pretty intense usually.

Needless to say we both went home pretty disappointed. Being a Rider fan (yes I wore my #1 Holmes jersey) I wasn't really cheering for either team and just wanted a fun game with a wild crowd. Unfortunately I got neither. Edmonton sucked so hard that the crowd never got above a loud whisper the entire game because the game wasn't in doubt from the first minute of action.

All in all a terrible, terrible outing by the Eskimos and they look about as good as I thought they would be this year. Stamps on the other hand looked pretty solid. Defense did a great job at preventing the Esks from having any real offensive threats for the entire game (last drive excluded).

Not nearly as fun as Labour Day at Taylor Field but an enjoyable evening nonetheless.

Edit: Oh, and to the idiot earlier in the thread trying to act like the NFL gets better ratings than the CFL. You are an idiot. Not only does he misrepresent the links posted but failed to do any research because the CFL DESTROYS the NFL when it comes to ratings in Canada. It isn't even close.
