If BYU runs the table (and that's a big if), they'll have wins over OU, Florida St., TCU, and Utah - 4 teams that probably end up in the top 25 at the end of the year.
If there isn't 2 undefeated BCS teams at the end of the year, BYU's resume looks just as good as almost any 1 loss BCS team, IMO.

For a 1-loss team, it all depends on when the loss occurred. USC has shot itself in the foot the past couple years, not only because they lost to a significantly lesser team (Oregon, Oregon St., Stanford) but because they lost so late in the season. If USC loses after running 8-0 they are hurt significantly more than if they lost to say Ohio State next week (which isn't going to happen). If Texas, USC, Florida all lose in the last 2-3 weeks of the season, things could get very complicated.
Imagine Texas, USC and Florida all with 1 or more losses and Boise State and BYU sitting undefeated at the end of the year. The outcry for a playoff system if both those teams are relegated to an at-large bid (or worse) would be tremendous. BCS Bowl supporters are praying that both those teams trip up or at least one of the traditional powerhouses run the table.
