I know its a little late considering this album dropped in July but Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros are going to be huge in this next year. Their debut album (Up From Below/Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros) highlights...
Live on Letterman - "Home"
"40 Day Dream"
"Carries On" - Live

On their recently released debut LP, Up From Below, Ebert channels his psychedelic tendencies into tunes that are alternately joyful ("Janglin," "Home"), jaunty ("40 Day Dream") and gothic ("Desert Song"), with echoes of the Arcade Fire and the Mamas and the Papas. Ebert attributes their sound to a conscious effort on his part to connect with his most childlike musical impulses.

This is not the average new release. It's uplifting, it's creative and it's full of energy. It has just the right mix of mellow songs, joyful sing-a-longs and tracks that are somehow strange but familiar. The style of music on this new album is becoming increasingly popular, it's feel good music. Listen to it and feel good.

These guys have gotten non-stop play time from me and I can't get enough of them. They're fresh, they're unique, and they're just fun to listen to. Highly recommended.
