Ichiro is what like 5 hits away from 9 straight 200 hit seasons. The guy can rack up the hits for sure.

Derek Jeter is only 3 hits away from a new Yankees record for hits by a Yankee. Given all the great Yankee's of the past I was sort of shocked to find out that none of them had 3000 hits as a Yankee. Jeters really been racking up the hits of late too. I think he had 46 in the month of August and he had another 3 today.
