Seriously, I'd wait for the inevitable domestic opposition to surface in the US before doing anything. Vietnam as an unpopular war would be nothing compared to this; not only domestically would the American gov't be in trouble, but it would destroy NATO and leave the Americans friendless internationally. I also don't think the American military would go along with such an invasion - you would see mass resignations of the brass, desertions, and even mutiny.

I have faith that the American people would topple their government inside of 3 months and that the status quo antebellum would be re-established. In the meantime, I think that my involvement would be limited to non-violent protest and obstructionism of the occupation, as I think that guerrilla warfare would be counter-productive and unnecessary in the end.
