Well, given that I now have 3 foster children through Plan Canada, I *AM* doing more than some others. I think assuming I JUST talk about it on the internet was presumptuous.
Jammies: I dunno. Group organizing and sharing ideas takes many forms. I think sharing thoughts and ideas on the internet DOES accomplish something. I ran a BBS centered on politics and social issues when I was in second year of university... so 1992... The hardest step was getting people from posting to praxis. But it did happen. People joined in, got to know some of the issues and then started getting involved in community groups. The local Amnesty group got 5 new members from people who read my BBS and wanted to get involved and do something....
