I never said the two were equal, but any degree granting institution must have very similar standardized curriculum's. Obviously the UofC has a better reputation as it's been around longer, but if you take a Computer Science Degree at MRU as opposed to UofC, you're going to be tested/evaluated very similarly.
But I mean I guess you could argue UofC is "harder" because of larger class sizes and bankruptcy looming sure.
I'm not going to comment on the cliques as I'm not a student here, but I would imagine it would be more highschool"ish" as some students would probably explore going here to see if they were serious about carrying on in post-secondary.
