With 9 in the box anybody can play quarterback. College is different than pro. USC would win 8 games with a monkey taking the snaps. 9 if the monkey could change it's cadence.
And Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Tee Martin and many others I'm sure Id think about it if I gave it more than 15 seconds would beg to differ with your second paragraph.
