I don't have any recommendations because there isn't a place on earth I would want to return to less than India, but I hope you have a good time and a much better trip than I did.
I'm East Indian and what you said there sounded a little harsh to me. Just because you don't like Indian food doesn't mean that everyone else has to stay off it as well. There are a LOT of very good restaurants in India if you just spend the money to eat there and its relatively cheap when compared to Canadian Dollars. In addition to that, you get the best service imaginable. The thing is most of the people who go visit India from the West get such a huge culture shock. All they see is the poverty, how dirty things are, how people live and then they just generalize their opinion that all of India is the same way. There's a much richer side of India that people need to experience and I guarantee you will be blown away. Yeah there are things which are not upto par in India and that's why India is a developing nation, a very fast developing nation. And if India is the last place you rather be then there aren't many places that you can travel to considering most of Africa, Asia and Middle Eastern nations are the same.

I do realize you are entitled to your opinion but as an East Indian I just couldn't ignore your comment.
