I don't know what the costs involved with concrete finishing would be - and I agree some of the stuff people do is amazing - but I do know from the tour of the grounds I did last week that the "commercial cooking" category involved something like 17 commercial kitchens that were outfitted with a combined $50,000 worth of pots and pans. Would concrete finishing be more costly?

I don't know about the prep time either but that's just because I literally do not know what is involved - the landscaping one sounds really freaking neat too, they just give a huge container of dirt to the competitors and by the end of the competition it's a fully landscaped yard. Apparently in the past it has been a very popular event. If I were to go on my own time I'd probably spend some time there.
