I can see the message now. They are using the image solely to put a perspective on how 9/11 is made to be a larger deal than nature itself, but in reality nature needs more focus from us". At least that's the message I see. The image alone has nothing to do with the environment/nature, but the words put it into context.
Still not an ideal image to do so, I'm sure there was a better way to carry it through.

I don't know, if you tell me the planet is an even more brutal killer than mass terrorism my first thought isn't 'let's preserve it', it's 'how the fata do we control this evil ball of clay, let's shoot nukes into the middle'.
