How much of this flaunting of girlfriends at the mall is actually flaunting of girlfriends rather than just girlfriends dragging their boyfriends to the mall?

Also to the poster who suggested that these ugly, pants around ankle wearing, boyfriends must have money:

I would imagine that this pants trend would be a teenager/early 20s type style and thus a good majority of them carry most of their net worth at any given point in time in the clothes on their back (or ankles).
