I grew up out there, went to longview school for elementry... I have not been to that restaurant in years... and ya Ian Tyson eats there occasionally... but highly unlikely you see him, its not like he has a regular table. Besides I hear he is a arrogant a$$ anyway... tbh I have not heard much about it in a long time. I don't remember it being all that fantastic... just small town ish... don't expect chophouse high end service... expect farm house comfort and feel.
If your looking for a long drive and a small town touch, then go for it... but you'd get as good a steak at one of the many fine steak houses in the city, you can add the cost of gas you'd save to your budget as well...
If you do go all that way watch for deer.
