Saw this in a packed matinee today.
Absolutely blown away. My initial reaction is this is Tarantino's best since Pulp Fiction; completely awe-struck by the symphysis of story, character, music (especially the Bowie song and the spaghetti-western theme music), and filmmaking - this movie is all spectacle and it had me spellbound from the get-go. The Landa character especially is almost too much for words - the actor who plays him is a spectacle unto himself. The opening sequence in this movie is worth the price of admission alone, and sets the bar high for what is to follow, but amazingly, Tarantino ups the ante again and again, all the way to the ridiculously over-the-top finale and the grotesque closing moments.
All I have to say for now is wow...
