Deerfoot was a gongshow at 1:30. Backed up all the way to Airport Trail, thanks to a couple accidents. They said it was taking a half hour to get from Country Hills to the city limits. Just insane. I was trying to get to Airdrie, and ended up taking Symons Valley Road to Big Hill Springs Road. It was faster.

I was trying to describe this mess to a buddy of mine in Florida. I ended up showing him on a map to give him perspective.

Basically, red is where the roads were at a standstill, based on the traffic reports. Green is how I got around it... which wasn't easy since the f'ing exit ramps from Country Hills to Beddington were also closed.

Bloody insane.
