Tracking at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes which is very good considering there's a lot of love / hate critics for QT's movies every time out.

I loved it. For a movie over two and a half hours I thought it flew by.
I heard an interview with Tarantino where he mentioned that each chapter of the film (it's split in to five chapters) is meant to have a different cinematic tone / feel.
I particularly liked the opening one, and the bar room stand off that was reminiscent of Reservoir Dogs. Both were edge-of-your-seat thrilling with sharp dialog.
Another thing he mentioned in interviews that is quite interesting is that he was very close to shelving the project a few years back because he couldn't cast the role of SS officer Colonel Hans Landa. He said they tried for months to find the right actor, and Tarantino felt the portrayal of that role was so crucial to the film he considered shelving the film. Just as he was about to give up Christoph Waltz came in to read and he cast him on the spot.
When you're watching the film pay close attention to the Landa character and the job Waltz does. I agree he deserves an Oscar nod. It's brilliant. Apparently his Italian is just as flawless as his German (another thing Tarantino said he was looking for in the role).
I am going to check it out a second time.
