Two things worth considering (I have not bought wine to appreciate in value, so take my advice with a grain of salt).
1. Natural cork can screw things up. Even the finest wines are not immune to being spoiled from cork.
2.Temperature control in your storage area is key if you want your wines to last, like others have said.
