one 10 cent thug in the NHL", which makes it out to seem like the NHL is pretty darn close to perfect.

My point is you could put together any union in the world and you are going to have bad apples when numbers reach over 500+ people.

Want to know why? Because the NFL players grew up as thugs, they lived the life and just because you give him a bunch of cash and an awesome job doesn't change that. They will continue to do those things because they believe they know no better.

I am not saying it makes it right but I'd bet 75%+ of NFL players grew up in a not so great neighborhood and didn't have the luxuries that most NHL players grow up with.
