Because of this thread, I have lost my faith in humanity.
Not even because of the article but because of the over the top stupidity both for and against guns.
BTW the 2nd amendment was not designed to give every US citizen the right to have as many assault rifles as possible.
It was created because a bunch of paranoid founding fathers who were intent on preventing tyrannical government wanted to ensure the legality of militias so that if the government ever started to concentrate power or abuse power or act tyrannical or despotic they could legally revolt against their government and start over.
Instead the US presidential system has evolved into one of the most stable political systems in the world. Quite shocking really because most presidential systems have failed, especially in SA. The entire US system was designed to ensure freedoms of citizens couldn't be raped by the government, not so that people could walk around with assault rifles at presidential speeches.
