Knives aren't protected by the Constitution. Ban them!
Guns will
never be outlawed in the US. Never. Their lobby group is among the strongest in the US. To amend the constitution takes 2/3rd support in both houses of Congress. The result, as I said, would be similar to prohibition or the war on drugs.
As a philosophical or theoretical debate, it's fine, so long as everyone understands that there will never be a fundamental change.
